About compressed data
Sep 17th, 2009, 12:39pm

All, since early this year, BITC data server had experienced storage space limitation.  Before we got our system upgraded, we had to compress dicom data in pace faster than planned.  To July 2009,  all data that were collected before July 2006 had been compressed.  However, it looks many groups haven't finished analyzing data collected in 2006.

Now with upgraded storage space, we are no longer in need of compressing old data.  The data compressing job is to be suspended for at least one year.

The question is, do we need to unpack some old data?  We do not prefer to do this for everybody.  However, we will be happy to accept user's request for unpacking old data.

Please contact me if you'd like any pieces of your data unpacked.  We'd be glad to help for any data that are dated after Mar. 2005, or less than 5.5 years old.
